Thank you to all the Snowbusters family and friends that were on the party train to Del Mar. Train trips for me are always a fun adventure.

My morning began as I parked my car at my moms house, and she was up and ready for the adventure. Pops dropped us off at the blue line station which we took to the 7th St & Figueroa Station and, we then transferred to the Red line and ended at Union Station. Mom loved how convenient it was to take the train and not have to drive to Union Station.

We arrived and got settled, then went over to the Water & Power building cafeteria for a light breakfast. The ooo’s and aaahh’s from the employee’s complimenting us and wondering where we were going, made us feel even more special. The invitation was extended for them to take the day off and get on the party train with the Snowbusters, but most felt out of place because they didn’t have a hat or didn’t have the right colors on (which was red & white).

After our final check-in & count, Wining Uncle Ray Ray, went over his numbers, we lined up at the platform, and proceed south to the track.. woohooo

In royal Snowbusters fashion the group received red or white Kangol hats, and matching red cups/glasses, and we had the royal toast after departure. During the stops along the way the fellow passengers were so intrigued with our group and wanted to join in on the fun. The party continued with the toasting and taking pics, exchanging racing tips, and partying all the way to Solana Beach.

Upon arriving at the Solano Beach station, who would of thought the paparazzi would follow us?, Folks lined up to take our photo and ask us where we were from, and try to get a horse tip from Uncle Ray Ray..

After our Kodak moment at the station, we boarded the shuttle bus that took us to the front gate of the Del Mar Race Track. We strolled in royal in fashion, found our section with the assistance of a wonderful Usher (who gave us tips as well), though we were going with Uncle Ray Ray’s bets, we still did the comparison for ourselves. Took our seats then went down to take pictures of the people who entered the hat contest and people otherwise, and met a couple divas who looked like they could have been with Snowbusters, dressed in their beautiful red and white.

Throughout the day some of us won and some didn’t. Todd called Barney our President to let him know that everything was going well, and that we be leaving after the 6th race so that we wouldn’t get back to LA too late. During that call Barney asked him to bet $2.00 on horse number 7 well, as luck would have it horse number 7 ended up winning!!

We all shouted with excitement (especially Todd), and were contemplating ways to split the money (just kidding)…

As we packed up and headed back to the train station, the shuttle and crowd seemed little lighter than last year, though once again the paparazzi questioned us about our outfits and the group, since we always look fabulous. The ride back, we put down our party shoes and relaxed, though we still rode royally resting our eyes the entire ride back..

Once again another successful Snowbuster adventure..
